Do you like dwarves? Do you like space? Do you like working as a team? Then join now!
I've been loving this game recently! With the new update coming June 13th: https://youtu.be/aNCFfpIzZU8
I thought I'd share some tips that I've found help me greatly in this game!
1. Teamwork! No Dwarf Left Behind!
Deep Rock Galactic is designed around teamwork. Always stick near your team to maximize your chances of survival. Using voice chat or the in-game pings to mark important resources, call out enemy locations, and share information about objectives. Going off alone can be dangerous, especially in higher difficulty levels. - Which can now be extended past 5 star ratings!
2. Do the things!
Each class in Deep Rock Galactic is built different for success. Making effective use of these abilities is key:
Driller: Use your drills to create shortcuts, escape routes, clear obstacles quickly and setup safe zones for defence objectives.
Engineer: Deploy platforms to reach high places, cover gaps, fortify defensive positions and catch your scout!.
Gunner: Set up zip lines (I call it webbing 🕸) to facilitate movement and provide heavy fire support during combat. Especially for Dreadnought missions!
Scout: Use your grappling hook for quick exploration and to rescue teammates. Illuminate dark areas with your flare gun. It can be so valuable to 'kite' enemies around and be a distraction while your allies tackle the bugs!
3. No Double Dipping!
Resources are limited in Deep Rock Galactic, so use them well!
Ammo: Conserve ammunition by aiming carefully and using finisher melee attacks when appropriate. Call in supply drops before you run out of ammo entirely. The gunner can place a shield to make re-suppling a breeze!
Health: Keep an eye on your health and grab Red Sugar when needed, but don't hog them. Share resources with your team. If it's easier as a scout to get to red sugar rather than taking a resupply then do so!
Nitra: Collect Nitra to call in supply drops. This is essential for restocking ammo and health mid-mission. Prioritize Nitra deposits and ensure you have enough for multiple resupplies, especially on higher difficulty missions.
Hopefully my tips will help you in the dangerous depths of Hoxxes IV. Good luck, miner! Rock and stone!
